Frequently Asked Questions

  • I am collaborative, honest, and straightforward.

I strive to create a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere so you can feel at ease in front of the camera to capture the most genuine and authentic expressions possible.

I craft composition and lighting to ensure that every shot is as artistic as it is professional and I adapt my style to fit your unique and personal vision.

  • It’s your call but we recommend professional hair and makeup for actor headshots. Everyone photographs differently under studio lighting, and a professional MUA ensures your skin looks its best and makeup translates correctly to camera. Our makeup artist stays for the entire session so she can refresh your look between setups. If all you need is very light touch ups, we can provide powder and concealer at no extra charge.

  • Absolutely (but please no small children). We welcome making this a special group experience. Please note though, during your actual shooting time in front of the camera, we may ask them to sit in the waiting area so you can relax and not be distracted. If you have small children, we ask that you leave them at home.

  • Solid colors photograph best — avoid busy patterns, logos, or overly bright colors that distract from your face. Bring multiple options in varying necklines and colors. Avoid white as your only option. Choose clothing that reflects the roles you're targeting.

  • As actors and models, you need to remember that the agency works for YOU.

However, understand that agencies are concerned about who you hire as your photographer. If the images they provide are not good, or marketable, or consistent with your brand, it is harder for an agency to find effective and consistent bookings/castings for you.

So, even though you don’t need agency “approval” it is a good idea to run it by the agency and get their professional input. In fact, they may even help you choose an image with great potential that you might have missed.

It is also very important to review your agency contract, as some agencies may have an “approval” clause, especially if you signed an exclusive modeling contract.

  • A Booking Fee is required to secure your session and is non-refundable. Your first reschedule is always free. If you need to reschedule a second time 48 hours or more before your session a fee of $25 applies or $50 if less than 48 hours.

Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to make changes.

  • I shoot out of two main spots: my home studio apartment in Van Nuys or a small soundstage in Burbank.

The location is chosen based on the day’s booking schedule or the complexity of the shoot.

You will know well in advance of our session day.
